Why?
Candles have memory— Yup! You read that correctly, candles have memory. The first time you light and enjoy your new candle sets the stage for how well the candle will perform throughout its lifetime.
We recommend that your first burn is between 3 and 4 hours. This will allow your candle to achieve a full melt pool, extending the life and fragrance your Pour & Penchant multi-wick scented candle.
Our coconut and apricot is a soft wax with a low melting point and is very forgiving. Our large 16.5 OZ vessels often times the melt pool will just reach the edge of the vessel— and that is OK. As the candle burns down, the heat from the vessel will increase and the wax will rejoin the melt pool. Our 10 OZ candles achieve a full melt pool around 3-3 1/2 hour.
